Atkinson 1/2% Sales Tax

     “Shall the governing body of the City of Atkinson, Nebraska, impose an additional ˝% sales and use tax upon the same transactions within the City of Atkinson, Nebraska on which the State of Nebraska is authorized to impose a tax?  The proceeds collected therefrom to be used specifically for defraying the costs of completing necessary improvements to its waste water treatment plant which is a capital improvement and shall include the payment of interest and principal of any bonds and the principal and interest of any loan funds used to finance said capital improvement, and shall the City of Atkinson, Nebraska increase its budgeted restricted funds for fiscal year 2014-2015 by $150,000.00 over the current year’s restricted funds according to the adopted 2013-2014 budget statement?  The sales and use tax imposed herein shall have a sunset date of September 30, 2034.”
